Website FHS-Rupprecht (Relaunch)

FHS-Rupprecht – Fliesen Heizung Sanitär, Leverkusen

Relaunch of the existing website of FHS-Rupprecht – Fliesen Heizung Sanitär (tiles, heating, plumbing) in Leverkusen. The previous site was not our own work: a generic template, replaced by a fully rebuilt, purely static site in HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript — without a framework and without a CMS.

Goals: • A distinct appearance instead of template looks • Fast loading even on mobile networks • No cookies, no tracking, no third parties • A contact form that also works without JavaScript

Implementation: • Design system built on the existing brand colours copper, oxblood and sand, with running-bond tiles and a visible grout line as the guiding motif • Logo mark as SVG, typography Fraunces and Figtree, fonts self-hosted • Responsive images in AVIF, WebP and JPEG, matched to the measured display sizes • CSS inlined on the home page, delivery with gzip and long browser caching • PHP contact form with honeypot, time lock and protection against header injection • Maps only linked, so no cookie banner is needed • Structured data, sitemap, 301 redirects for the old addresses, HTTPS and security headers • Hosting on Apache at Strato, upload package built by a custom script

Measured values (Lighthouse, mobile): • Performance 97 • Best Practices 100 • SEO 100 • Largest Contentful Paint 1.9 s • Blocking time 0 ms • Layout shift 0 • Total weight around 225 KB; the home page transfers around 15 KB of HTML including CSS

Accessibility: • Semantic HTML • Full keyboard operation • prefers-reduced-motion • Sufficient contrast; tested in Chrome and Safari/WebKit from 320 to 1920 px width
